Moldy retirement home
Just behind the first trees on the edge of the Veluwe, there is this abandoned retirement home, it was used until 2000 and after that it was used for asylum seekers until it finally closed down in 2006
Abandoned saddle factory
This old factory used to make bike saddles, but also small raincoats for your saddle and it seems that they also made mudguards. The location was really nice to visit and had some great details left.
Doel, Belgium
Doel, a well-known urbex location. Or should I say tourist location? The only difference is that there is no tourism information point. I could still get some nice shots but there were big groups visiting the almost abandoned town.
Het Zegel Urbex
Het Zegel, an abandoned factory in the middle of the city. This place started out as as candle factory but when that failed it was used as storage and after that it produced postage stamps and train tickets.
Swamp Hotel Mechelen
This hotel lies “deep” within the forest in Mechelen. (actually just a short walk from the road :P) The plan was to build a big hotel here, but because of the wet ground they could not finish the building, the first few stories were already build but not more.
